Promotion Goal
Due to the Covid pandemic, the kickoff to the 2020 golf season was delayed. Sales of pre-paid vouchers (topline revenue) and subsequent onsite revenue generated from new customers (ancillary) was earmarked to help make up for the shortfall.
Promotional Offer
The two-golfer offer was open to 7-days a week, after 11:00 AM redemption. The “60% off” marketed discount included the cost for same day replays, which boosted the perceived discount, knowing that most golfers who would be redeeming would likely only play one round of golf. Additionally, a percentage of voucher sales was to be donated to the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado.
Promotion Success
More than 150 vouchers were purchased during the 7-day limited-time Colorado Golf Association Member Advantage promotion. Ninety five percent of purchasers hailed from out-of-market (60+ miles), increasing a customer pool with golfers who traditionally would not play Rollingstone without an incentive.
