Promotion Goal
With the most recent promotion, Carmel Valley Ranch partnered with UnderPar and the NCGA to generate a quick burst of revenue in Q2 2019 through the sale of vouchers and adding tertiary revenue generated while promotion guests were on property.
Promotional Offer
The objective was to feature Stay & Plays to help boost occupancy rate and fill the tee sheet up leading up to the peak season. Two different packages (with different price points) were featured giving people overnight stay options. Two days of unlimited golf per guest was the core draw for each package.
Promotion Success
By partnering with the NCGA, Carmel Valley Ranch was able to market to tens of thousands of avid golfers living 100+ miles from their property, supporting their desire to grow their customer base outside of their immediate market. Voucher customers have proven to spend more money while on property compared to full-fare guests helping to offset the discount. To date, $168,000 in top line voucher sales has been generated with two promotions; and, 55% of all purchasers reside more than 100 miles from the property.
